Homespun QAL Round-Up

If you have been checking out my Instagram, you probably noticed that I have quilted a TON of Homespun Quilts. I sponsored the Quilt Along that Morgan hosted this March! Everyone that participated in the QAL was offered 20% off quilting for their Homespun, if they sent it to me by June 30, 2021. I quilted so many beautiful tops and now I want to share them with you!

The first Homespun quilt I am sharing is my own! I used the Speckled fabric line by Rashida Coleman-Hale for Ruby Star Society. I absolutely LOVE how it turned out! I thought I was going to use the Raindrops on Water Panto, but after completing a mock-up, this Gemma 3 pantograph from Karlee Porter won out.

Allison Maestri: Next up is the winner of the free longarm quilting! Allison used a mixture of fabrics from the Zoology, Terra Kotta, and Moonscape Basics fabrics. She pieced a strip on her backing and it turned out beautiful! We used the Rolling Hills pantograph from Julie Hirt.

Caroline Cordes: This was the first Homespun that I quilted as part of the QAL. This beautiful quilt was going to be for her mom, but she ended up keeping it because it turned out so beautiful! We used the Rosemary pantograph from Dastardly Line.

Candace Rice: Next up is Candice’s quilt that has a real groovy vibe. She used fabric from her stash for the top and the backing is A Blooming Bunch by Maureen McCormick. We used the Flower Child pantograph, by Apricot Moon Design, to keep the groovy theme going.

Ann Griffith: Ann used a pink background which was so unique! We used gold thread and it was freaking perfect. We used the Botanica pantograph by Hermione Agee.

SJ Milliren: SJ’s quilt had so many beautiful blues. It is so calming! We used the Malachite pantograph by Patricia E. Ritter. It added the perfect amount of texture and fun to this quilt.

Kim Logan: Kim made such an adorable baby quilt with a these stunning red and black fabrics. We used the Peak Blooms pantograph from the Longarm League. The flower pattern matched the prints in the fabric perfectly!

Whitney Ho: Whitney made this entire quilt out of scraps. On top of that, she finished the entire top (from cutting to fully pieced) in four days!! That is so crazy! We used the Woven Wind pantograph from Apricot Moon Designs. I love how well the quilting shows on the solid backing.

Liz Lopez: I cannot explain to you how adorable the backing is on this quilt! Liz wanted the quilting to stand out on her quilt, so we used a coral pink color. We used the Knit 1 Purl 2 pantograph by Natalie Gorman.

Jaime Hilliard: Jaime made this adorable rainbow Homespun using the Shine On fabric line by Bonnie and Camille. To keep the rainbow theme, we used the Shine Pantograph from Sew Shabby Quilting.

Erin Pratt: Erin made a really big Homespun quilt! I love the blue and pinks she used for her top. We used a light pink thread so the quilting would stand out, but still match the fabric. We used Raindrops on Water from Three Sisters Fabric and I LOVE the movement it added.

Brenda Norris: Brenda’s quilt is so delicate and beautiful. She used Heather Bailey fabrics and they are gorgeous. Her backing was pieced so beautifully. We used the Marmalade pantograph by Patricia E. Ritter and Leisha Farnsworth to give it some fun movement.

Christie Norman: Christie decided to use the Sweet Marmalade pantograph from Patricia E. Ritter and Leisha Farnsworth. She loved the heart design, and I do too. We used a dark pink thread so the design would show more. She used the Clementine fabric line by Ruby Start Society.

Amanda Riddick: And last, but not least, we have this beauty from Amanda. Her black background really made the colors shine. We used a purple thread and it turned out gorgeous! We used the Swirly Gig 1 pantograph by Mike Fountain and it is hypnotizing.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing all these beautiful Homespun quilts! I sure loved quilting them! Keep an eye out for the next QAL being hosted by Morgan. You will not want to miss it!
